If your fitness level is low and you'd like to walk for 5 or 10 minutes or more, or if you've just started to run, or if you're training for longer distances such as Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon or triathlons like Toronto Triathlon Festival and others, this event is for you. Those with mild to moderate Huntington disease (HD) and other movement disorders will be able to participate - the hike/walk is the best option but the 5k run route is also wheelchair-accessible.
In 2012, participants made this event Canada's largest supporting
Huntington Society of Canada. Thanks to the 650 participants, sponsors, volunteers, special guests, supporters and spectators, the event netted
$77,000! This event fights Huntington Disease and other neurological disorders and dementia.
